ROWENA CREST, OR

I don’t know how Chris finds these photography spots, but he does. A few hours out from Portland lands you in this beautiful overlook that has this popular road where you can create eye-catching long-exposure imagery if you set it up just right. We had left before sunrise and stayed well into midnight for our shots. We had a gentleman next to us and giving us photography tips and unsolicited political opinion. He said he had come down from WA and found a small motel just for the day to get as many photos at the gorge as possible, this was his last of the day. It was beautiful to see the stars out with zero light pollution. A great learning opportunity and curve (literally and figuratively) for a shot like this.
