Golden State Warriors Championship Parade 2022

It was 2am and I couldn’t sleep. I knew I had to be up in 5 hours. Once 7am came, I had already beat the alarm clock. Parade day baby. I had already laid out a few different Warriors gear the night before. I was too excited. This was the first Warriors Championship parade in San Francisco. The others in the last decade were all held in Oakland before the team had officially moved stadiums to the newly built Chase Center over at the Dogpatch neighborhood.

A few days prior, I sat in my bed in Hillsboro, OR, watching Steph Curry drain shot after shot and an unbreakable team chemistry from the starters to the bench and back towards the coaching staff and front office. The Warriors clenched their 4th NBA Championship in the last eight years (having been to 6 out of 8 of the Finals). I already knew the plan. Once that final buzzer rang, I was going to be in my car, and on my way back home. It was worth the drive.
